When buying fuel make sure you stabilize the unleaded gas within one day from purchase.  Always start the season with fresh premium winter grade fuel.  Most hard water states start their winter blend around or near November 1^st. To avoid varnish build up in the system every precaution must be taken to prevent this unwanted build up which is not covered under warranty.  USE FRESH FUEL OFTEN!!

Strikemaster suggests an oil ratio of 40:1 (3.2 oz) or 50:1 (2.6 oz) for your mixture.  This will help keep your engine running at peak performance and reduce oil residue from the muffler.  Strikemaster’s Low Smoke 2- Cycle Oil (Part # 2SOIL) is specifically blended for ice augers and includes a fuel stabilizer.  For the Strike-Lite Auger (4-cycle) we suggest part # CC0-1, a 0W-40 synthetic cold weather 4-stroke oil.

On vs. Off

The kill switch on/off indictor is on the opposite side of the elongated thumb tab, the side closest to engine.

When starting your Strikemaster Ice Auger always use short pulls.  Long pulls will break dogs, recoil lines/rope and ruin your fishing trip.  ALWAYS USE SHORT PULLS!!
