Battery Cover Knobs on Electra Lazer DP12000 Augers
It has been brought to my attention that some of the battery cover knobs #151322 have been difficult to remove on some of the Electras.  It appears that the rubber boot is slipping on the metal insert.  The knob can be removed by simply grasping it with a pair of pliers and turning it to remove.  The knob can be reinstalled the same way if needed.
The auger does not need to be returned. Please contact Customer Service for more information.

New Ice, New Ice Fishing Season

No ice is safe, especially early in the year.  Always check ice conditions no matter what time of the year, but it’s a must early in the season.

If your Lazer Power Auger needs to be pushed, it has either dull blades or the pitch is off. THIS MAY CAUSE IRREVERSIBLE DAMAGE!! DUE NOT FORCE!! Please call StrikeMaster (763-263-8999) or stop by the manufacturing facility in Big Lake MN for more information.

Tune-ups are available from Strikemaster for your power augers.  Some conditions apply so please contact Strikemaster’s customer service team for details.

For early season hand augers maintenance, take the unit apart (handle and auger) and spray a little WD-40 on the lower portion of the handle and re-assemble. Doing this yearly keeps the adjustment slide of the unit working properly. Tighten blade bolts and tighten wing nut. Check the blades to see if they look sharp, you can also spray a little WD-40 on them to reduce oxidization. Having a spare set of blades or CS-1 (blade sharpener) is always a good idea.
